AIMing past midnight.

• Josie: it was fun being the "baby" of de anza high school.in a way, that was how i wanted people to see me.... now i want people to look up to me. but they cant do that if i seem "babyish" and "naive" to them. they'll want to take care of me. and as much as i appreciate that, i want to be the one to take care of others. you know? to be the dependable one.
• Hector: I did look up to you. From the beginning, I saw you as different from all the other freshman in that you had enough class to know the cuss words and not use one in every sentence, to actually care about her future and to want more, to aspire and reach for the top.You seemed to me like you'd been through your share of difficulties and obstacles. And you overcame them with flying colors. And you had my respect from day one.

• Hector: I'm glad to have met the cute Josie before she underwent her metamorphosis.And I will always remember her. =]
• Josie: wait, what do you expect of me now?
• Hector: But you must do what you must. You choose who you become.As to my expectations:I expect you follow that beautiful heart and mind combination that you have. You are a down-to-earth dreamer by nature. Your heart and mind work in an elegantly synchronized manner. One of the best well-oiled machines I've ever had the pleasure of encountering. That being said, do whatever your heart tells you and assess it with you mind.
